The line graph illustrates the proportion of income earned by top 1 % people in the United States, Uniked Kingdom, Canada, France, Italy, Japan and Germany between 1975 and 2015.
Overall, the most striking features is that the proportion increased for all nations by the end of the time with the only exception of France. In terms of the any given year at a time, Germany started at the top position in the beginning before being overtaken by US, in around 1985, which remained holds the position for the remaining time after that.Looking at the biggest changes, the proportion almost doubled ( which stood at nearly 18) for the USA compared to its initial value of roughly 7.5 in 1975. Although no initial data is available for the UK (the available data is from around 1990), the changes it experienced in the 25 years were dramatic and it ended approximately similar to Germany, which started at nearly 10, and fluctuated throughout the time perioud.
In terms of smaller changes, Japan and France began at approximately same percentage around 7. Both ratios crossed each other many times during befor finally ending roughly at 8 in 2015. There was gradual decline observered by France, which stood at nearly 7 in the first year, before reaching a trough at nearly 7 in around 2010, before eventually closing at approximately 7.
