23.2 Discuss both sides

 

Some people think that children should begin their formal education at a very early age. Some think they should begin at least 7 years old. Discuss both views give opinions.

 

The starting age for schooling is one of the hot topics nowadays. A few believe that the sooner it starts for a child the better, whereas others agrue it to be 7 years or more. I will discuss both sides in this essay, even though I believe it should be after 7 years.

Those who favour the begining of study from an early age generally believe that young minds are sharp learners. A child's brain is normally considered to be equivalent of clay, which can be easily shaped in any desired form. In other words, most of the times the learning capacity of infants are far greater than the grown ups so they can be taught much with relatively less efforts, and many studies by numerous presitigious universities have shown that this fast ability is reciprocal to the age. Hence, to get the most benefit out of the young minds we should start their education early in their lives.

Others claim that early time of life is crucial for the family bonds hence formal education should start when the age is at least 7 years old. Time spent with the family members at the young age is considered to make the relation between the members of a family stronger. Since human is considered to a social animal, the aforementioned time potentially aids in enhancement of the social skills of a child when they grow up. Once a youngster has developed the basics of socail behaviour, then they can easily focus on learning the other academic skills at school at a much faster rate.

In conclusion, I discussed in this essay that because normally learning abilites of infants are excellent hence, some believe that, their schooling should start at early stage of their lives. However, others consider the starting age to enroll for education should be of minimum 7 years because a child should spend the early years of their lives with the family. I believe that it shoulbe after 7 years because by that time the child should have acquired the basic skills that will give them a jump start in their learning period.
