21.1 Task 1 map
The maps compare the main components of a park in year 1980 and now.
Overall, almost all the sections of the park has been changed since year 1980 except the pond. The most noticable change was made to the flowers and the gate in both years.
On the left boundry of the park, just below the top left corner, there used be a gate, in year 1980, which has been removed now. Adjacent to it, there was a pond surrounded by a few benches. Although the pond is still intact, a few new benches has been introduced. Going south from benches, there used to be a flower section in the bottom left hand side corner, which has been replaced by a bush now.
The top right area of the park had some trees, in year 1980. Now, this area has been reduced to one third of its original size, and the remaining space is used to introduce chairs, desks and barbecue. There used to be a big flower area in the bottom left hand side corner, that has been converted to a play ground. A gate located at center of the bottom boundry in 1980 has been demolished now. Three new open paths have been introduced now which were not there in 1980.
