The table displays the number and percentage of films released and their percentage of income from ticket sales in 10 individuals genre in UK and Rebublic of Ireland in year 2012.

Overall, drama and documentry genre released the maximum films , whereas comeny was the source of maximum percentage of income among all other followed by horror. The lowest number and percentage of all release were in  biopic genre, however, it in therms of income it stood right after horror and the minimum % of income was by films from romance genre.

A total of 148 movies were released in this year out of which the maximum number were shared by drama and documentary with 35 films each followed by comedy which accounted for 26 releases that was 17.6 % of all release. The next in the line were horror and thriller with almost similar number of releases at 14 and 13 respectively. Only one movie was released in biopic genre which was 0.7% of all release which was lowest in any kind.

Comedy contributed with 45.4% of income from tickets which was more than double of then the next contributor, horror, which stood at 20.2%. Crime and actions were in the middle of the chart(4.7% and 4.1%). Romance genre was responsible for about 0.8% sales from tickets.
