The table displays the number of five different types of vehicle registered in Australia in year 2010, 2012 and 2014 along with percentage change in the aforementioned years.
Overall, an upward trend is followed by all the vehicle types in the given time frame. While Motorcycles showed the highest percentage of alternation, Heavy trucks were at the lowest level. Light trucks, Commercial vehicles and Passenger vehicles were in the middle at number 2, 3 and 4 respectively.
From year 2010 to 2012, the highest increment in figures was displayed by Passengers vehicles which increased from by 900,00 to reach from 11,800,000 to 12,700,000. In the same period, Heavy trucks showed only marginal change and increased by only 6,000.
Passenger vehicle stood at the highest level in 2014 at 13 million, followed by commercial vehicles and motor cycles( 2,700,000 and 709,000). SImilar to all other years the least number of vehicles were registered in Light trucks category at 131,000. Motorcycles increased by more than 30 % in the 4 years, whereas Heavy trucks only advanced by 8.3% in the same time.
