Educating young people is naturally important. However, some think governments ought to invest more education for adults in need.

To what extent do you agree or disagree?

Education is the building block of our society. A group of individuals suggests that regime should spend more on educating adults than youngsters. Even though education of children is crucial, I completely agree with this because educating grown-ups will not only lead to overall faster development but also create a sense of equality among the citizenry.

The most important reason why a few believe that state should invest more in the education of adults is the fact that it will lead to faster development of the society, since, most of the adults are either already a part of the workforce or will be ready to participate as soon as they finish the education. Whereas their young counterparts will start contributing to the development of the world once they reach adulthood, which may take upto several years or even decades. For instance, an average child in India starts schooling at the age of 4, however, they are not allowed to work untill they turn 18, which means that government will have to pay for at least 14 years for this student. Whereas, if the same state gives education to someone at the age of 20, the person can work part-time along with the study.

Furthermore, educating grown-ups increase the equality in the society because many adults might have missed schooling due to a number of reasons. Aforementioned individuals when meet some well educated person of their same age then they might feel inferior because of the lack of education. If state pays for the education of adults that it will reduce the gap between people because everyone will have the same level of intellact. A recent study conducted by one of the prestigious universities from North America found that nations where the gap in education level of people is less display more harmony compared to their counterparts where only some adults have received education.

In conclusion, I fully agree that government should invest more in the education of adults because it results in a faster overall development and creates equality amoug the residents. Education is must, hence, governments around the globe should make sure that no one is left without it.
