 Some people believe that children of all ages should have extra responsibilities (for example, helping at home or at work). Others believe that, outside of school, children should be free to enjoy their lives.

A few believe that children should own extra ownership when they are not in school rather than spending their lesiure time freely. I believe free time is necessary for the overall growth of youngsters hence we should not put burden on them by making them do other chores.


Those who suggest enforcing additional responsiblities on juveniles claim ehtical learning being the primary reason for their thinking. According to them, by taking part in extra activities, similar to helping at home or at work, after the school from a young age makes sure that ethics required for public dealing, which is required for survaival later in the life, are learnt by the children from a young age. For example, my father runs an electrical repair shop where I used to go daily after my school to assist him. Just by watching my father talking to the customers, I acquired customer service skill which are proven to be useful for me in my current profession working as a public relation manager in a reputed company.


On the other hand, the most crucial reason why juveniles should be allowed to freely enjoy their lives is the overall develpment, holistic growth, of a child. If we put extra pressure on a youngster then there are very high chances that it will hinder the physical and mental growth. For example, University of Delhi performed an experiment for one year on 1000 children out of which only 50% were told to help their parents after the school. Outcome was clearly after the test as the youngsters who didn't help their parents were visibly more developed than the others.


In conclusion, despite the ehtical moral which extra work might develop in juveniles, I believe that for the sake of the unrestricted development children should be allowed to take pleasure in their lives outside of the classroom.
